If you wear the same, very distinctive, fancy clothes you always wear, but put on a hat, people will not only not recognize you, they’ll believe that you’re poor.
No matter how many times someone has done the right thing for you, has proven their character and commitment, the moment someone you have known to be untrustworthy says something bad about them, you should doubt them and destroy your relationship with them.
Which ties into the next lesson: when conflict arises with someone you care about, never assume there is a misunderstanding and things might be resolved if you talked it out some more. Always assume the worst possible motive, feel betrayed, maximize your outrage and set out to cause them the worst harm you can imagine.
